'Ive Been Searching for Something' - PLEASE HELP!

Visited the Hollister store in Vegas early last October (08) and loved a song in there.

The chorus goes something like 'Ive Been Searching for Something' or it could be 'someone'? Everytime I try to recreate the chorus with someone they think it sounds like Axel F!!! I believe it is by an 'Indie' band? I could be wrong though - any ideas for me to listen to??!

Please help as its driving me INSANE!
