Yes! Thank you so much! I am working with American editors/readers, so it has to be simple for them, but I don't want to throw any Arabic readers with poor grammar or the wrong dialect. The main character in this book is a Lebanese American who goes back to Lebanon during the 1980s civil war. For once, I hope for an Arabic hero--not anti-hero. THIS you provided is just the sort of translation I was looking for!
    Shukran!

Ok--I just tried this out in the scene. It works! Arabic is such a beautiful language!
I'm still kind of having trouble with the whole "You're so hot/sexy" part
    Would he say to her,
ya habibti, Enti hatir… motheer... (?)

I'd go with "ya habibti enti khateera.. mahdoume.."

you need the "KH" together to make the word mean "dangerous" without it.. the term "hatir" wouldn't be understood as an arabic term.. and mahdoume is cute/adorable/attractive.. if that term doesn't sit well with you let me know

This is completely what I was looking for! I really can't thank you enough! I am a lady too--so don't take this wrong, but I wish I could send you a dozen roses! I've lost contact with as lot of my pali/Lebanese sources and so I was kind of stuck. The American editors and proof-readers will not be able to spot errors like this for me with the Arabic.
    Bless you!

why would you trouble yourself with this... in fact each dialect have have many branches if I can call them. but in the same country if you talked with any dialect you'll be understood.

what I know: shami, 7imsi, dorzi..

In fact maybe each city has its dialect (a single dialect has many dialects that falls under it with slight change)
