Looking for a title and artist of a jazz or R&B song

I have a song in my mind and can't remember the name or artist, lyrics are ...there's not many things in life you can be sure of, except rain falls from the clouds,sun lights up the sky and hummingbirds do fly... the young become the old, myteries do unfold...that's all I can remember, a male singer late 70's or 80's I think.
