Austria 3 Manchmal Denk I No An Di
    text and music: Rainhard Fendrich

    Vielleicht geht’s da heit leiwand,
    vielleicht bist alla.
i denk ma oft wo kenntast jetzt sein.

Da war a so a Glanz in deine Augen,
do war des Salz auf deiner Haut
    und dann mei G’fühl
    so zwischen Angst und Euphorie-

Manchmal denk i no an di.
Manchmal denk i no an di.

Du wolltest gern a Frau sein,
    i war no ka Mann,
was lernt ma schon aus Playboy und Quick.

    Du hast mi afach g’numman
wia’s a Mutter sonst nur kann,
i was no wia i g’want hab vor Glück.

    i hob mi g’furcht’n wia a Kind.

Manchmal denk i no an di.
Manchmal denk i no an di.

war i so stolz in deine Arm
Dann hab i g’sogt, du bleibst die Anzige
    die Anzige für mi!

manchmal denk i no an di
manchmal denk i no an di
manchmal denk i no an di

i denk ma oft wo kenntast jetzt sein.

    Maybe you feel......... nowadays/today
    maybe you are alone
i often think about where you might be

    Time heals all wounds
(no matter if they were) big or small (the wounds)
but sometimes the biggest ones start bleeding again
    (or: old scores open again)

Da war a so a Glanz in deine Augen,
do war des Salz auf deiner Haut
    und dann mei G’fühl
    so zwischen Angst und Euphorie-

There has been some shine in you eyes
there has been salt on your skin
    and then my feelings
    in between fear and euphoria

Manchmal denk i no an di.
Manchmal denk i no an di.

    Sometimes I think of you

Du wolltest gern a Frau sein,
    i war no ka Mann,
was lernt ma schon aus Playboy und Quick.

You wanted to be a woman
and I still was no man
(forget about the things) you learns from Playpay and quick (magazines)

    Du hast mi afach g’numman
wia’s a Mutter sonst nur kann,
i was no wia i g’want hab vor Glück.

    You simply took me
    as only a mother can d o
I remember I weeped becaus of luck

    i hob mi g’furcht’n wia a Kind.

The night was dark/black and as warm as a day
    I feared like a child
    then it was like
heaven, like heaven coming over me

Manchmal denk i no an di.

    Sometimes I think of you

war i so stolz in deine Arm
Dann hab i g’sogt, du bleibst die Anzige
    die Anzige für mi!

and as we have waited for the sun to come up
I was very proud in your arms
then I said to you youre gonna be the only one
    the only one for me

manchmal denk i no an di
manchmal denk i no an di
manchmal denk i no an di

    Sometimes I think of you
