Really not an easy text! Two remarks:
1) "jemandem einen Strick aus etwas drehen" is a German expression meaning "to blame s.o. for s.th." ("to turn something into a cord for s.o."... in order to hang him )

2) "im Vorbeigehen" is an expression meaning something like "in the twinkling of an eye"; you can also say "im Handumdrehen" in German ("taking only the time to turn around your hand"

One last thing: "unbotmäßig" is really very old word you wouldn't use in a normal conversation; I think that "unfairly" meets the meaning best but maybe "insubordinate" is more accurate to the oldfashioned tone of "unbotmäßig"... it should be used as an adverb here though

This one was, for me, very tough. Ouch! I thought I was a little closer to being correct than I was. The meanings kept eluding me. Ha Ha, I did originally have "blown it" but I second guessed myself probably because that is not an expression that I use very often. Thanks for the corrections and explanations. Without them I wouldn't have understood some of those lines.
It is not always so easy to look up colloquialisms. Live and learn. If you're not learning you're not living.

Don't worry, your German is really excellent! I'm impressed especially with your translation work on this kind of difficult lyrics
