Default Element of Crime - Ganz leicht

Another "oldish" but still poetic and beautiful song by Element of Crime.
Any suggestions and ameliorations to the English translation are welcome

Element of Crime - Ganz leicht (Totally easy)

Leichen im Keller*, Beton im Gemüt,
Skeletons in the closet*, concrete in the mind,
und viel zu lang schon allein.
and way too long alone now.
Beim Essen ein Schwein, beim Trinken ein Loch ohne Grund.
Eating like a pig, drinking like a hole without a ground.
Und auch dich hab ich bisher nur selten verstanden.
And neither did I understand you most of the time.
Ganz leicht, ganz leicht wird es nicht.
Totally easy, it won't be totally easy.

Ein Knick in der Optik, ein Kratzen im Hals
An optical aberration, a sore throat
und viel zu ängstlich mit dir.
and way too anxious with you.
Jeder Blick ein Versuch, jedes Wort ein Tonnen-Gewicht.
Every gaze a try, every word a ton-weight.
Ein paar Tage sind's erst, dass wir beide uns fanden.
It's been only a few days since the two of us found each other.
Ganz leicht, ganz leicht wird es nicht.
Totally easy, it won't be totally easy.

    Und dennoch, was solls?
    And still, so what?
    Und dennoch, was solls?
    And still, so what?
    Und dennoch, was solls?
    And still, so what?
    Warum was beschrei'n?
    Why conjure something up?

Ich weiß noch genau, wie wir beide vor Sehnsucht verbrannten.
I still remember exactly how both of us were burning with longing.
Ganz leicht, ganz leicht muss es nicht sein.
Totally easy, it doesn't have to be totally easy.

Denn die Uhr kann ich lesen und Fahrpläne auch,
'Cause I know how to tell the time and read time-tables also,
ich weiß, wie man Betten zerwühlt.
I know how to tousle bed sheets.
Und beim Minigolf lern' ich wie man mit Anstand verliert.
And miniature golf teaches me how to lose decently.
Und selbst dich hab ich schon manchmal verstanden.
And it happened sometimes now that I even understood you.
Ganz doof, ganz doof bin ich nicht
Totally daft, I'm not totally daft.

*Leichen im Keller haben = a German expression meaning that a person has something to hide
(literally it means: "to have some corpses in the basement", but it seams that the English equivalent expression is "to have skeletons in the closet"

Yep, that's how we say it. Now I know the German equivalent in case it ever comes up.

Leichen im Keller can also mean "a person full of different fears and fobias"
