ok so wrote this during english class instead of readin just finished it friday let me know what you think!!

My World

Everyday I stop and talk to you,
If you were to leave,
It would be like blocking out the sun,
With me all alone in the dark.

When you talk, I get lost in your eyes,
Knocked breathless by your smile.
I wonder if you ever notice,
How I’m dazzled by you very presence.

You are so observant,
One glance and you know someone.
How can you be so blind,
To see right through me.

At night I dream of you,
Knocking on my window.
You lean in close and whisper,
I’m in love with you.

We sit in the cool grass,
Talking all night, only in my dreams.
I wake up every morning and think of you,
Because you are my whole world.

You sit next to me in class,
We talk and I try to learn more about you.
The more I know,
The more I see how much I’m in love with you.

We drive in your car,
Drive until it’s just us.
You start talking about how you want to find the one,
The girl to be with you through it all.
It’s like you see me,
But I’m not really there.
I hide behind my smile,
Hoping the hurt doesn’t show.

At night I dream of you,
Knocking on my window.
You lean in close and whisper,
I’m in love with you.

We sit in the cool grass,

I wake up every morning and think of you,
Because you are my whole world.

I’m studying, there’s a knock on the door.
You walk in and say “let’s go for a drive”
I’ll never say no, and we leave
It seems as if something is on your mind.

We stop and I recognize the place.
You turn and your blue eyes stare into mine.
You say “I’ve found the girl, the one for me.”
My stomach drops, she must be beautiful.

Then I look at you, trying to keep it together.
The radio comes on, a slow song.
You take my hand, and we get out of the car.
You pull me close and I realize I’m the one.

At night I dream of you,
Knocking on my window.

I’m in love with you.

I wake up every morning and think of you,

You’re my world, now I’m yours.
We talk on the phone for hours,
Never wanting to hang up.
I’m in love with you, and you are my world.

Oh my goodness! Can I share this with my friend? It's a beauty of a poem in my opinion.

As far as lyrics go, I can't really say, only because I've only ever attempted to write 1 song and all the others just ended up as poems. But usually, lyrics have a chorus, a few verses, and a bridge. Of course, this is music, and with music, you make it your own, you do what ever you want with it. That's why it's so great.
