Been trying to find it for 20 years!

Hi everyone, Ive been looking for this song for 20 years so any help would be great!

I remember i watched the music video in the late 80s, 86 or 87 I think.

Was a group I believe, with one lead singer, blondish, mellow slow song, i remember the following parts of lyrics

"even if i should"
"even if i could"
"and i look in your eyes"
"gold"

I know im being quite impossible thanks everyone in advance!

Spontaneously I was thinking of GOLD by Spandau Ballet

but there are not "even if I should/could" lyrics in side :-(
