Chicken song? chickens go to heaven, or don't go to heaven?

I'm not even sure I like this song, but I thought, well, you don't get too many songs about chickens. I have never NOT been able to find a song by googling lyrics, but this one's a mystery.

It's maybe a little alt.country, or city-folkish? Not my usual genres. Not rock or pop, but I heard it on the radio right after Heartless Bastards, so it can't be too far out there. (no, I don't know what radio station I was listening to)

Ha, maybe it is Cake. That would be funny, chickens, sheep, almost the same thing, right? I only heard it once, and thought I'd recognize it immediately, but I was counting on the chickens to jog it. Now if I could just remember what I was smoking...
