Rock song from 1998 or 1999

I don't know very much about this song, but maybe someone will recognize it.
I heard it on the radio 1999 or 1998, and they played it a number of times, but maybe it's from earlier period (though I never heard it before that).
It's a rock song with male voice. It has a nice strong rhythm.
The lyrics are written like story. He wakes up goes to work but something bad happens (got fired?-maybe-don't remember), goes home and find his girlfriend with another guy. In chorus he sings about what a crazy day that was or something like that.
