Default Antonis Kalogiannis - Annoula Tou Hionia - Translation Into English

    Hello,
I need an English translation of the song 'Annoula tou hiona' sung by Antonis Kalogiannis on his album 'Mikra Erotika' on Polydor from 1984. - I am afraid that Nana Mouskouri's English version from 1997 'I Don't Want To Say Goodbye' is of much help.
    All the best from Denmark

    I love this song

Here it is, lyrics and translation taken from stixoi website:

    Little Anna of snowy weather

It's been long that the moon doesn't bass by here
The land is chaki, eats your heart
At night I write again I love you on white paper
I mumble your name in the guardpost

Oh, little Anna of snowy weather
I won't be with you anymore
    By December the ninth
When Anna you have your nameday

Last night in my dream, strange thing the mind is
pigeons, it says, came in the army camp
And it came up, they said this was a dream too
get up and go to Anna of the winter

Oh, little Anna of snowy weather...

"Gilgamesh, where are you hurrying to?
You will never find that life for which you are looking.
When the gods created man they allotted to him death,
but life they retained in their own keeping"
