Looking for song from 1983 or 1984

Hi, I'm looking for a song from 1983 or 1984 that sounds like "I'm happy hope you're happy" from the song "Ashes to ashes" from David Bowie, but with another instrumentation. I believe it's soft soul but I'm not sure.
In the background male voices sing very high something like:

"I'm so happy, you're so happy, I'm so happy, you're so happy"
Or: "Need somebody, need somebody, need somebody, need somebody"
Or: "Jampampaddy, jampampaddy, jampampaddy, jampampaddy"
Or another text.

The y at the end is very long, like: "eeeeeeeeeeeeeee"
