The more I listen to the songs that you told me and more I've listened on youtube. This song doesn't sound alike. This song sounds like an different type of arabic song not like i would say arabic pop music. It's more classical I would say. Yeah I would say its like the arabic classical music. WOW this is becoming difficult to find. lol
It is a tricky one, that's for sure! I think I am grasping at straws but I am trying exhaust my knowledge of Assi!

From the description it's definitely a dabke song, if it starts out with no music he's probably singing a mawwal before the song [dabke] begins.. So we can come to one conclusion.. it's not an Egyptian artist lol
Ya reitni 2amle b sha3rak, kel lama ashta2lak atsa7sel w ashoufak ♥
What about WAEL KFOURY ?
His music sounds sometimes classical, he has a deep voice and often the Dawul drums used for dabke.
MAybe its worth a try.

Dabke is a folk dance from the Levant region of the middle east i.e syria, jordan, palestine and Lebnon. There is strong emphasis in the drum beat and rhythm.
Fares Karam - Typical Dakbe artist but his music often has more of a modernized flare

mawwal well this i cant really explain but it's very traditional genre and basically when the first part of the song sung in a like accapella but the words are very slow and the singer holds a looong tune on certain notes.it's always done in the entrance of the song you also often here in the beging Ya layali (oh night) or ya ammar (oh moon) in the begining something like that, mainly lebanese singers sing and many use to during the 1990s than they do now.
