so, because a forum should be less boring, my attempt to explain the difference between φεγγάρι and σελήνη:

-into the songs, I've always heard ,,φεγγάρι μου" and not ,,σελήνη μου"

-so it is obvious to me that φεγγάρι has a poetical connotation as σελήνη has a simple astral connotation (an orb)

- more than that, φεγγάρι would be the moon by night, I suppose, that moon who gives romantic help and romantic inspiration to the lovers

And yes Selene is the name of the moon, but we also call it feggari cause of its' light reflection during nighttime ("light" = "feggos").
