Thanks Spring for giving a link to this Eurovision-songcontest website.

I was wondering how you all know about the other songs.

My favourite is still Germany. I really love this song.
Other songs I did like: Serbia, Turkey, France.

First they chose internally, then they hastily organized a national contest so.. no wonder they didn't have time to check the participating songs!
Now they have till 26th to chose another song ! Really disgraceful! Especially if they went through all that trouble and don't make it through to the final! lol

For me that would be what they deserve! Even though there is still some chance that I love the song of course, you'll never know. But even then, the singer had to KNOW when she participated with this song that it was not a valid choice, as it has been released for 2 years or more. So she cheated, and it's too much already that the broadcaster still lets her participate. The singer that won this 2nd final will go, but with another song that has to be chosen, before 26th..

Here are the current standings on Eurovision:

    Eurovision Song Contest 2010
Draw for running order held in Oslo

Oslo, 23 March 2010 - Today, the Draw for the Running Order of the 55th Eurovision Song Contest took place in Oslo, the host city of this year's contest. All 39 participating broadcasters got a spot in their respective Semi-Final or Final.

In the beginning of February, the Semi-Final Allocation Draw was held where it was determined in which Semi-Final the 34 participating countries would perform, in addition to the already qualified finalists France, Spain, United Kingdom, Germany and Norway. As part of that draw, it was also determined if those countries will perform in the first or second half of the respective Semi-Final, so that each delegation already knows exactly on which day they are expected in Oslo for the rehearsals in May.

Once again a total of five wildcards were drawn: two for each of the Semi-Finals and one for a country in the Final. These lucky countries could choose their spot in their respective shows. You can find the results of it below.

I'd assume it's not about the song's quality or anything related to it...just a random pick. I'm not even sure whether choosing your starting position is at all helpful. If your song is rubbish, then it'll be rubbish if you're first or second or third or last to perform, if it's good then it's good...

    NOT!

It means that the 5 countries got to choose their spot in the running order (while others got their positions by a draw).

Thanks, Tahira! For those of you who aren't aware... Germany was the wild card for an immediate final placing! (Thank goodness it wasn't some of the other countries...)
