Solved: Help Identify Band and Song Title

I am looking for the name of a band (although it could certainly have been a solo artist) and the title to a song that would have received limited airplay on 'Lite' rock stations in Canada in the mid 90s. It was a male vocalist/lead singer for sure...

These are the lyrics I remember, probably out of order since it's been so long since I heard it:

I've Googled these lyrics to death, and none of the results match my search. Anyone out there care to take a stab at this?

Well, I've found it, at long last. Thanks to searching numerous Canadian databases, numerous 'likely candidates' based on possible song titles, the tune I've been seeking is Missing You from 1994 by Richard Samuels.
