Come on, it's not that it would be a sin*

*It's a bit hard to transpose this last sentence into english...but I did my best. It's more like a popular saying..anyway popular romanian songs are always hard to translate into another language, but you did a great job

Even though in the dictionary mândru= proud (adj), in this song it has another meaning.In romanian the word "Mândră"(noun) also means girl/lady ,especially beautiful girl/lady.I'm going to go ahead and confuse you by saying that the word "mândru" (adj) has yet another meaning mostly used in a part of Romania known as Ardeal and it means nice/beautiful ( this is used regionally).
So,you see the meaning is far from " proud", but yes,only romanians could have figured that out.
