    Question Fenestra che lucive

    Hi !

I am trying to find the correct lyrics of this song and I have found many lyrics on the net but they all have some small differences, as I don't speak Italian there's no way for me to know wich one is the right one.
There are some little differences but I don't know if it's a spelling problem or what.
For example, ¿is it FENESTRA OR FENESTA? I have found both.

I'd be very thankful if someone can get the correct lyrics for me and if it's possible a translation to English or Spanish.

    Thanks in advance,

    Nardy

Since it's not italian, but neapolitan i think, the spelling can change a little. "Fenesta" and "fenestra" mean both "window".

Mo’ n’esceno li vierme, oh che pietate
    Zi’ parrucchiane mio, àbbice cura
    ‘Na lampa sempe tiénece allummata
    ‘Na lampa sempe tiénece allummata

    English:
Window that used to shine and now don't shine anymore
sign that my little love is ill
Her sister appears at the window and tells me
"Your girl is dead and buried"
She always cried because she used to sleep alone
now she sleeps together with the dead

Go to the church and open the coffin
see what has become of your little girl
from that mouth from which came out flowers
now come out worms, oh it's so pitiful!
my uncle parishioner, take care of her
Keep always a candle lit for her
"-Please tell me you're going to appeal to my humanity..."
"-Actually, I'm planning to threaten you."

"Well, if you'll excuse me, I have work to do. Evil plots don't just make themselves, you know!"

Thanks for your quick response and for explaining me about Italian and Napolitan, I really didn't know that they were different, maybe that's why internet translator didn't work. Everyday I learn a bit more.

    Big hugh,

    Nardy
