Hey yall. This is my first original song. If I get some feedback on the lyrics I'll try to get the guitar up with it somewhere. Let me know what you think.

"Pedal On The Floor"

Well I was born and raised in a country town
In 2005 I was college bound
So I headed down south on 85
Hardly knew anyone around
But I made friends fast in ol' Tigertown
Stayin' out late, just a-raisin' hell

Came outta high school on top of my class
But the next four years were nothin like the last
I didn't know what was in store for me

And now I get up every mornin'
Fire up my truck and roll in
To a good ol' 9 to 5
Just barely gettin' by
And I spend my nights in smoky bars
Singin' songs, tryin' to heal my heart
And lookin' for a woman just as simple as me
Then I head back home and I hit the sack
Wake up tomorrow and head right back
To livin' life with the pedal on the floor

Traded Friday night lights for neon signs
And a college education for a few good times
And today I still couldn't tell you why
Oh I've had to learn the hard way
That this here life is full of change
But I still gotta keep movin' on

So I get up every mornin'
Fire up my truck and roll in
To that good ol' 9 to 5
Just barely gettin' by
And I spend my nights in smoky bars
Singin' songs, tryin' to heal my heart
And lookin' for a woman just as simple as me
Then I head back home and I hit the sack
Wake up tomorrow and head right back
To livin' life with the pedal on the floor

I know God's watchin' my back
Makin' sure I stay on track
And followin' the road he's made for me
Maybe one day I settle down
Set up shop in some podunk town
Where I can start and raise a family
But until then I'll keep movin' on

And I'll get up every mornin'
Just hopin' I can roll in
To that good ol' 9 to 5
Thankin' God that I'm alive
And I'll spend some nights in smoky bars
Singin' songs that come straight from the heart
And lookin' for a woman who's crazy for me
When I get back home 'fore I hit the sack
Pray to God that I can get right back
To livin' life with a pedal on the floor

I'm just livin' life with a pedal on the floor
