Would someone please translate this song for me?
    Hvala !

NATASA BEKVALAC - DVE U MENI.

    Mislis da poznajes me dobro
a i od lude ima ludja
nekad u mislima sam s tobom
    nekad kraj tebe kao tudja

    Ako jos verujes u snove
    ako jos verujes u mene
    mozda se ovo ljubav zove
    mozda i meni suza krene

    Ref.
    U isto vreme te mrzim
    i volim, i prezirem
    samoj sebi nanosim bol
    nemam snage da odem
    ni razlog da ostanem
    cijom greskom zivot si moj

    U isto vreme te ljubim
    i kunem, i ostavljam
kao da u meni su dve
    jedna bez srca i duse
    a druga bez razuma
ne znam koja bila bih pre
Nije ljubav sve sto vidis.. zato pazi kome zavidis!

    Mislis da poznajes me dobro
u think u know me good
a i od lude ima ludja
and from .... i have crazyness
nekad u mislima sam s tobom
sometimes in my mind im with u
    nekad kraj tebe kao tudja
sometimes when im next to u its like sadness

    Ako jos verujes u snove
if u still believe in dreams
    ako jos verujes u mene
if u still believe in me
    mozda se ovo ljubav zove
    maybe we call it love
    mozda i meni suza krene
maybe tear falls down from me

    Ref.
    U isto vreme te mrzim
and in the same time i hate u
    i volim, i prezirem
    i love u,i scorn u
    samoj sebi nanosim bol
    i hurt myself
    nemam snage da odem
i dont have neither strength to go
    ni razlog da ostanem
    nor reason to stay
    cijom greskom zivot si moj
    which mistake my life is

    U isto vreme te ljubim
and in the same time i kiss u
    i kunem, i ostavljam
    and curse,and leave
kao da u meni su dve
like its two parts in me
    jedna bez srca i duse
one is without heart and soul
    a druga bez razuma
    and other is without mind
ne znam koja bila bih pre
i dont know how i was before

well, there are few differences, they use ekavian (mleko, lepota) we use ijekavian (mlijeko, ljepota)
then they don't have structure with infinitive in sentences, in serbian will be 'moram da radim' in croatian 'moram raditi'
Also croatian language has 3 main dialects which are very different from standard croatian as well as from serbian (štokavian, čakavian, kajkavian)
I'm not sure about the dialects in serbian.

also there are words which are totally different
    pasož - putovnica
    sekretarica - tajnica
    fudbal - nogomet etc
''Glupost je sama u sebe zaljubljena i njeno je samoljublje bezgranično.''

I can mention (cuz now i'm reading a book in Serbian but a lot of Zagreb's dialect expressions are used there cuz it's partly situated in Zagreb too) that the "kajkavian" dialect as it seems, spoken in Zagreb, is a lot closer to Slovenian than to Serbian... they say "bum /buš/bu" etc. instead of "ću/ćeš/će to express future (slov. - bom,boš,bo), also they use words as "puca"(slov. "punca"-girl, no such word in Serbian and I think neither in standart Croatian), "rišem" (slov. "rišem" -i draw, serb. "crtam" - i draw); "je"( i guess kinda like slov. "ja" - yes?);"zakaj" - slov. zakaj = why, there's no such word in serb ,etc.
Maybe "shtokavian" is the closest to standart Croatian and to the other 3 ( Bosnian,Serbian,Montenegrin), I've never heard the "chakavian", I'm even not sure where it is spoken.

Also, about what D&M said about serbian, they really use more the "da" constructions than the infinitive ones but they still have infinitive constructions.
Serbian: Moram da radim. = Moram raditi. both correct and used but the first one more often.
Croatian: Moram raditi./Moram radit. ;"moram da radim' is impossible.
In Serbian at least I have never heard somebody using that way"moram radit". It's more common in Slovenian.

čakavian is spoken mostly in Dalmatia, especially on islands... it is also spoken in Istria
here you can hear čakavian very well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yyybQ...eature=related

and you are right, kajkavian is very close to slovenian
