We are having an English marriage Blessed in our Spanish village and everyone in the village is invited. So we will have a great mix of people.

I have been given the task of sorting out the hymns. The couple will want the old favourites like, Love Divine, Lead us Heavenly Father , Jesus Stand among us at the meeting of our lives, The Lord's my Sheherd,etc.

I have been through all the archived material and have found lots of lovely modern translations but need some older ones now.

Do hope someone can help because we are hoping that this Service of Blessing with be a real blessing and witness to both nationalities.

The words are so wonderful and we are hoping that the marriage Blessing will be a great witness and outreach to all who come to it. There will be many unsaved English and Spanish.

Personally I have sung it too many times when I was growing up and it drives me round the bend. But that is not the point it is their choice and it is a lovely hymn.
