    No - it is not elevator music!
    Normally, I wouldn't ask for help with such sparse information - but youse guyz are good!

    Anywhere from 5-10 years ago, I heard this song on the Philly 'alterna-pop' station. It sounded like the JEts or the STrokes - that kind of vibe anyway, and the lyrics referred to being in an elevator, going up and down - and a girl, of course.

    I can't even remember an actual snatch of the lyrics to search.

    Any talers?

    It's definitely not Aerosmith - everyone knows that song! FOW sounds, form the allmusic sample and the lyrice, like it may be the one - I'll have to get a full copy to be sure.
