    I have plenty of Russian, Estonian, Japanese. But I'm having trouble finding good dance music in other languages.

    German: I like Blumchen, but that's all I have for German.

    French: I like some of Kate Ryan and Ilona Mitrecey... I want more like that.

    Chinese: All I have is a few dance songs by Kelly Chen! Suggestions, please!

    Korean: Same thing, I have some After School, and they're more pop than dance.

    Hungarian: I have mostly older stuff, like Fresh, Kiwi, 4F Club. I like it, but are there newer groups with harder beats?

    Swedish: I have some Kobojsarna, Caramell, Discocrew... anything else?

    And please, suggest any other languages that I didn't list. I'm not picky, those are just the languages I've been pursuing lately and I'm coming up empty on my own. Your suggestions will mean a lot to me. Dance fans, I know you're out there!

    German: Alex C feat. Yass
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3GjLPY3T5A
    That duo is more famous for a different song, but I'll let you find that one on your own if you haven't already heard it.

    ATB and Paul Van Dyk are German, but they usually opt for English vocals. Still, you might look there.

    So yeah, I don't actually have any world dance suggestions for you, but I'll gladly steal all of yours.

    You can try Eiffel 65 "cosa resterą" and "quelli che non hanno etą".
    I know only these two songs with italian lyrics, but apparently there's an entire album in italian.
    "-Please tell me you're going to appeal to my humanity..."
    "-Actually, I'm planning to threaten you."

    "Well, if you'll excuse me, I have work to do. Evil plots don't just make themselves, you know!"

    Maybe you can try Anna Vissi (Greece) or Jan Smit (Netherlands, I recommend 'Als de morgen is gekomen' ), depends on the kind of dancing you like..

    Hey how could I miss this thread! Great to see someone with the same thought of not refusing to listen to music because it's not any of your active spoken languages. (Well, many do, but they miss a lot, har har :P)

    ILONA?! Are you serious?!
    (Arghhh...LOL)

    But I agree with Faayzaah': Stromae is a damn cool guy!
    I also like his video clip series "Stromae ą la prod" (but in French; once brought his laptop up to the roofs of Paris, and it starts to rain mercilessly...well go figure...he continued making music with the umbrella spanned over his laptop, hehe - deadly funny LMAO )

    OK...
    Lemme see...
    Finnish: once there was MOVETRON. Päivi Lepistö, however, then went solo for some time and now ... MOVETRON ARE BACK!!!
    "Ei kenenkään maa" might be something you like

    Romanian: Well, even though I have nothing against them, some Romanians would really diss them to bits:
    A.S.I.A. !
    That's an all-girl band (though become a bit quiet meanwhile) that pulled off some real great hits in the past ("O iubire de-o vara", "Inima mea" etc.)
    ...second would be...
    CELIA. That's danceable pop with a medium strong beat, featuring Celia's extraordinarily beautiful voice. "Cine te iubeşte" was still recorded as duo "Elegance", her self-titled 2007 solo debut happened then after Elegance disbanded.

    Korean: I have something danceABLE, but probably her R & B will be a bit too mellow for you. Yet you could try looking for Gummy. (Love her to bits)

    Thai: Palmy does quite nice dance(able) pop. (Though I prefer her groove-laden collaborations with Thai reggae/ska band T-Bone where her songs are put into a sort of "roots" outfit, but if you're into dance you'll rather like her as-is I'm sure)

    Chinese: All I have is a few dance songs by Kelly Chen! Suggestions, please!
    Well. I do LOVE Coco Lee to bits. But I'd say that is NOT dance.

    Hungarian: I have mostly older stuff, like Fresh, Kiwi, 4F Club. I like it, but are there newer groups with harder beats?
    YES! You might want to look for Desperado! (Rather "danceable pop" to me though, but with a strong beat)
    Beside that...hmm...Baby Gabi does dance, too, BUT ... to me it sounds like typical 2000's German (pop)schlager with Hungarian lyrics! You might like it, and you might not.

    Japanese:
    Haaa. I'll give you some of my artist tips I normally only give to good friends:
    I'm talking about Towa Tei's girlfriend (hey, I'm not kidding!!) : Ayuse Kozue!
    It's great club dance, BUT the childish flavor is not as extreme as with other upcoming female jap artists. Love her! Absolute hot tip I say! Name me the people outside Japan who know her! I think it's not too many yet
    PLUS: She is also a true musician! (Whilst others have huge successful producer teams behind them and just singing off the stuff they get like a compliant horde of lemmings)

    Hebrew/Israeli:
    I have some Sarit Hadad, but it's definitely too poppy for you. Sorry

    WOW! I forgot I posted this thread! I'm such a shmuck...

    @anickname:

    Uh-huh. "Der schönste Arsch der Welt." An Estonian group named Släm actually does a cover of that song, called "Sul on kõige kaunim kann" (means the same thing, haha!). But to be honest, I've never listened to anything else by Alex C, so I will check it out! I've got some ATB and Paul Van Dyk; I like a lot of Europe's modern day electronica, but you're right - most is usually in English. If you want to know more groups I listen to, let me know!

    @Ligeia:

    Thanks for the suggestion! The only thing I know by Eiffel 65 is that "Blue (da ba di)" song.

    @MoonRiver:

    I tend to gravitate toward either old school eurodance, or foreign stuff with high energy BMP, but I do like listening to a bit of everything. I liked Anna's "To Poli Poli" because it had a very original, ethnic feel. "Als De Morgen Is Gekomen" was cute! Very jazzy and upbeat!

    @PlainChaos:

    The only Romanian I know is O-Zone. XD (Doesn't everyone know at least Dragostea Din Tea by now?) I love all those groups you linked! Thank you! It's too bad the Romanian ones are all singing in English, but I like it anyway. I especially love that Icelandic one.

    @Crisa:

    I definitely those links to Fly Project! The other stuff wasn't bad either - Morandi was a bit too slow for me, I think.

    @Faayzaah':

    I've seen that video before!! I wouldn't have remembered what it was if you hadn't posted it. XD Thanks!

    @pianoman74:

    Ilona? Yes, quite serious. I listen to everything from Hilary Duff to Megadeth to Sarah Brightman to Oingo Boingo... any genre is good with me, as long as it catches me in some way. But I tend to like anything with a dance beat the most; there's just something inexplicable about how it makes me feel and move. I'm a closet linguist, so most of the things I listen to, I can understand - and if not readily, then I can probably sit down and do a bad translation. I agree that people shouldn't be opposed to music outside of their own language(s), but it's not a great idea to get blindly hooked on things either.

    "Hey, I love this song! What's he saying?"
    "'Kill all the women and drown the kittens.'"
    "Oh..."

    A ridiculous example, I know. XD Most unlikely in the world of pop/dance, especially, but nonetheless...

    Hey! I liked Movetron! (Finnish drives me a little batty because it's so close to Estonian, but not close enough for me to understand what they're saying.) A.S.I.A. I'm going to snag, definitely. "O iubire de-o vara" is very catchy. I found Celia (yeah, what a beautiful voice!), but I couldn't find "Cine te iubeşte" via YouTube. I'll have to look elsewhere. Palmy was really cute, even her hippie dance in that "Yark-Raung-Dung-Dung" song. Okay - found some Desperado, too. I like "Csak egy perc" so far, so I'll have to look for more!

    Ayuse Kozue, haha... I have her A♥K album. I need a long break from Japan. I studied the language for several years, and I inherited countless Japanese music, anime, manga (etc) from otaku roommates/classmates in college. Every now and then, I still listen to Hello! Project and Ayu (my two favs, which are hard to pick), but really, I'm so over it right now. XD

    Thank you very much for your excitement and suggestions!

    And thanks to everyone.

    Ask some Finns, they have the same problem with you guys speaking EE. :P

    Thank you very much for your excitement and suggestions!
    Don't mention it - I love this kind of fellow enthusiasts!
    They're rare. (Yes, really.)

    Desperado: I hesitated in suggesting you the great "Gyere és įlmodj!" because it's a bit too much pop, less dance

    Celia: Oops! "Cine te iubeşte" is *NOT* by Celia, but by the duo she was in, Elegance.
    And sorry, it's the title of the album, so you might be lucky in finding some single songs at least

    Ayuse Kozue, haha... I have her A♥K album. ...I studied the language for several years
    Wow! Well, you never cease to surprise me...
