Need help identifying a song used in a TV show (Youtube link provided)

I've linked it to the exact spot of the video where the song plays. In case it doesn't work right, though, the starting point is around the 3 minute, 38 second mark and it ends at around the 4 minute, 30 second mark. It's from the Tim and Eric Awesome Show episode "Greene Machine" and it plays during a movie trailer for a movie called "Little Dancing Man". It could be an original song made for the TV show itself, but it sounds too professional and too familiar to me. It almost sounds like an inspirational song used in some 80's or 90's movie, but I just can't place it.

By the way, I know the video is really silly, but that song has been stuck in my head since I first heard it and I still can't identify it (assuming it's a real song). I'm not the only one who think so either since I've seen a handful of people asking around about the song, but they can't figure it out either. Thanks for any and all help.

That's what I thought at first. I figured since Richard Marx was a special guest star in the episode that maybe they used one of his own songs in the fake movie trailer. But I sampled every song of his I could find on Amazon and none of them sounded the same. I also sampled Peter Cetera's songs on Amazon and none of them sounded the same either. My only other lead is MAYBE checking out Chicago's songs (since Peter Cetera was a member of Chicago), but I somehow don't think they did it either.

It's really frustrating since I can't get any good leads on it. LOL

Yeah, that's true.

Just figured I'd bump it up to see if anyone else comes along and knows the answer. I still can't find it. :'(

Richard Marx does a track Right Here Waiting but it's not the one in your clip.

It sounds very 'new romantic' to me. But sorry, don't know who it is.
