BTW what does "evaza X" mean? (see my post 4 days ago). Does it mean something like "I gave up for good, I renounced" ? And what is the difference between "evaza" and "evala", the greek verb tenses are so difficult (at least for me)

waiting for Amethystos's response, I can give you a help.

1."evaza" = I was putting (in/to/on) - Imperfect tense (past continuous)

"evala" = I put (in/to/on) = simple past, wich in greek is named indicative aorist in active voice

Both are of the same verb ,,βάζω" = I put (in)

2. And I think "evaza X" means = I was putting ,,X" = I was giving up (like you said )


3. p.s. "evala" might mean also ,,I threw" , the simple past for ,,βάλλω" = I throw

(so you're right,greek verb tenses are so difficult, I realized it too)
