So when you take a word like qatar, the first letter qaf is pronounced
    qa
    second letter 6a is pronounced
    6a
    third letter ra is pronounced
    r

so you already have the vowels incoporated with the letters does that make sense?
yes it does make sense.. it's always with the 3 arabic letter alphabet fa3aLa, fa3elu, etc etc..
qof tho ro.. qotaro qotiru, etc.. for the arabians would not pose too much problem.. but for Asian like me, if you wrote QTR, I would understand it as a Quater

Glad it made sense to you!!

About Dreamy's post, dont worry, I always get confused between 8 and 9 The most important ones are 2, 3, 5, 6, and 7

    3' is just a 3a with a dot and 7' is just a 7a with a dot (aka 5 lool)

8 changes depending on the country, so ignore that one, but 9 I guess is mostly sa like Dreamy said

    Good luck!!

I suppose the easiest way is to start by learning the alphabet?

lol if you want to learn to speak and write fluently then you definitely need the basics.. if you're just wanting to learn to figure out the meanings to your favorite songs then I guess you can just pick up on things as you go along
