What exactly is this ra7?I have never been able to catch it's concept.

ra7 = I will
In egyptian, they mostly use the prefix ha before a word to denote future tense, haktob, hadros etc. In shaami dialect we use both, ha and ra7, ra7 aktob, ra7 adros

what does alayk mean... like when someone says salamu alaykum - in english ppl translate it as peace b upon u. but is this translation befitting? -
3alayk = on you
So yes upon you is pretty accurate, like allah ynawer 3alek, may God bring light upon you, mashallah 3alek, mashallah on/upon you etc
