This is my first ever attempt at writing lyrics, so don't be too harsh!

    Where Do You Start?

Have you ever wondered what it is...

    About that one person
    that makes them so different?
    They take you over,
your heart, your soul and your mind.
    They consume everything you are,
    you can't live without them.

    One day they are gone,
it destroys the world you and them built.
You have to build it back up,
    but where do you start?

Have you ever wondered what it is...

    That keeps you awake
    every single night?
    Staring through the darkness
    just going insane.
    You toss and turn,
    but can't escape the misery...

    Cause tonight they are gone,
it's destroying the world you and them built.
You want to build it back up,
    but where do you start?

Time goes on, but it stays the same.
    You can't explain the pain
    that's left in your heart.
    All you know is that
    it's too much to take...
    it's too much to take...

    Cause they are forever gone,
it has destroyed the world you and them built.
Now you can build it back up,
    This is where you start.

Well some of my favorite songs don't rhyme (Breakfast at Tiffany's by Deep Blue Something, Wayward Sun by Kansas, Walk This Way by Aerosmith, I Think I'm Paranoid by Garbage, Bring Me to Life by Evanescence, God is a DJ by Pink, etc.) Although it sounds like a poem, it's just because I can't hear the melody or meter. You can stress different parts of a word and Eminem does good example of doing so.
