It's ok. Only the natives speak hindi and can understand the very precise meaning of the words and make some meaning out of it. It's not your fault. You just don't have enough practice.

So there isn't any difference between the hindi which was spoken 50 years ago and the hindi which is spoken today?????

    Nope. Din is day.
Subah is morning, Like urdu and turkish.

Yes, there's a huge, huge difference between those two periods and the languages' case spoken then. It's quite different. There have been words added and deleted from the language, for being obsolete. The hindi back then was Sanskritized, and now it's more like "hinglish" or "hindi-urdu".

I believe that "raat din"=the moment when night become day,in the early morning ,That moment when you can see the moon and sun in the same time on the sky.

Well i know that urdu is called "love language",but i believe that old hindi is more greater than urdu from today

Watch Nargis movies or listen to Lata songs.

No, NNA, we use the term 'raat din' or 'din raat' to say day and night, that is 'all-the-day-and-all-the-night' or 24X7. The time that you believe it is, is actually called 'subah' or 'savera'.

Urdu may be higher or lower for you, but the fact remains that it's words were and still are used in the 'khariboli' or the 'commonly used language'. hindi's composition can be expressed as 60% altered forms of words of Sanskrit, 25% Urdu words (Persian words) and 10% English words and the remaining 5% depends on the culture of the speaker, his location and the influences of other languages on the speaker.

And by the way, I've grown up watching all sorts of evergreen and the 90's movies (I've always disliked the latter) and have listened to Rafi, Kishor Kumar , Mukesh, Lata (so shrill!), and Asha bhosale. (all because of my father )

So I do know what I was talking about.

I think that Madhubala was the most beautiful and the best actress in the history of Indian cinema. She had the natural charm, the good looks and one could see that she was enjoying herself in front of the camera!
(I like her also because my mum looks exactly like her!)

And the best actor was Kishor Kumar! (her husband) He didn't look good or anything, but he could act. The movie Chalti ka naam gaadi is a classic!
If you really want to appreciate Indian cinema, NNA, I'm telling you, you must watch that movie, with the subtitles and all! It's one of the best!

    That's another must-watch!

She looked so amazingly beautiful and gorgeous in that one! She could dance so well! The dance steps were so enchanting!

    Simply lovely!

Kishor kumar could act better than them! He was an all rounder! He'd sung songs for himself and the people that you have mentioned above!!! Playback.

chalti ka naam gaadi= it's a line form the world famous poem of saint Kabir.
It means that now the man has changed so much that
"Whatever he sees moving, he calls it a ride/car/machine." get it?

None of the actors today are good, according to me! They're all losers! None of them look really attractive.

Btw, Neil Nitin Mukesh is a good looking guy, who can't really act, but can sing well. He's the great singer Mukesh's grandson, see?

Amitabh Bachhan has sung a few songs, but has had LOADS of editing to make it sound better. :P

I'll write the entire verse of Kabir's poem on a new thread and post it, so you could read it, ok?
It's worth reading. You'll understand the title of that film better and will come to know some really really good stuff about Indian arts, not stupid today's westernized (copied ) Indian crappy stuff.

Sorry that I criticized today's Indian cinema so much, But I totally against plagiarism. And all today's people do is that.

But Amir Khan's movies are different.
I can never criticize him He is a very good artist.
BTW, he sang for his song, "aati kya khandala". Look it up.

    Few exceptions if i may:
---Amitabh Bachhan(i believe he is still acting)
---Shah Rukh Khan(let's be honest, there are the 90's movies which are masterpieces)
---Sanjay Dutt(which is the son of Nargis)...but i believe he isn't acting anymore.

Oooo i forgot Amir Khan,he definitely is a great actor.Did you know the first movie of Amir khan as acting was "Yadon ki bharat"???
