    Actually, a small percentage of Belgians speak German too.
    Belgium has 3 official languages: French, Flemish and German.

    Btw: yes, mais oui! It is a surprise both ch and kh are pronounced like the French r, part of them a bit more guttural than the others.
    Very nice! So "khetori" and "khoobam/khoobi sound like "retori and roobam". Is that right then?

    and when I see "dokhtar?" is that "dortar?"

    Oh yes, must try Forvo, see if it works!
    Oh be careful! "gh" and "kh" are pronounced like "r" in French!
    "Ch" is always pronounced like "ch" in English! so "Chetori" is pronounced like this :

    Chetori
    http://fa.forvo.com/word/چطوری/#fa

    Khoobi?
    http://fa.forvo.com/word/خوبی/#fa

    man khoobam:
    http://fa.forvo.com/word/من_خوبم/#fa

    Dokhtar:
    http://fa.forvo.com/word/دختر/#fa

    ghoroob or ghoroobe khorshid(=sunset)
    http://fa.forvo.com/word/غروب_خورشيد/#fa

    gham(=sorrow)
    http://fa.forvo.com/word/غم/#fa

    Khoda(God)
    http://fa.forvo.com/word/خدا/#fa

    khodahafez(=goodbye)
    http://fa.forvo.com/word/خدا_حافظ/#fa

    Chatr(=umbrella)
    http://fa.forvo.com/word/چتر/#fa

    Chera?(why)

    and "kh" whether it's at the beginning or in the middle of a word it is pronounced like "r" in French but in words like "quartier/important/trois/notre..
    The examples are very good and useful, thank you dear Pinky! ^^
    As for the "gh" when I listen to some Persian artists I feel like almost hearing a "g" sound in it. Is the "gh" marked by a regional accent and changing its pronunciation in the different regions of Iran?
    I could try a hundred times I would never manage to reach Amin Rostami's "gh" in "Inghad toro doost daram..."

    You're welcome dear Enoo
    Hmmmm actually only people who live in North West of Iran( Azari People whose language is 70% like Turkish) pronounce "gh"(ق) like "g"(گ)...but I haven't heard this kind of pronunciation among singersBut it's very common that when you speak Farsi, in some words "gh" is pronounced like "kh"(خ)..
    For example:
    When=Vaghti(وقتی) but sometimes when we talk fast we pronounce it like "vakhti"(وختی)...
    or another example:
    Please=Lotfan>>>> but we say "Lodfan"

    hahahahaI listened to Amin Rostami's song and he pronounced "gh" correctly..and to me, It's "gh"
    Oh listen to this sentence when he says "بی تو دلم می گیره ، وقتی تنها می شم ، کارم انتظاره' ...he says "vakhti"
    Actually there are lots of "gh" letter in his song so it's a good song to practice "gh"

    Let me tell you some other French words which we have in Farsi:

    Tableau=Taablo=تابلو

    Douche=Doosh(we say it exactly like French)>>>je vais prendre une douche=Miram ye doosh begiram!

    Régime=Rejim=رژیم

    actually there are so many French words in Farsi and I found a list of these words...just check it out:

    I just began and unfortunately I can't study it as much as I should, because of several things which make me busy. Btw, although I can't study it every day, I must say I'm making some progresses.
    'Kh' sound is not difficult at all, but 'gh'... Doost pesare man kheili mano komak karde va alan to ham mano komak kardi
    correct me, lotfan!
    Kheili, kheili mamnoon!

    You know what? If you like music, I think songs are really helpful to learn a language. I've learned English that way and I know some Persian songs by heart. I don't understand most of them, but when I read/see/hear a word which was in a song, I remember where I've seen that word, I ask or search and I learn not only the single word, but the whole sentence. It sticks in my mind and I'm sure I'll never forget it.
    So, I think that Pinky gave you a good tip. She really knows how to teach a language.

    Pinky: Afarin, 100 afarin, 1300 afarin. Fereshteye ruhi zamin. :P

    Speaking of songs, I've opened a thread about a song I'm listening to a lot these days ---> http://www.allthelyrics.com/forum/pe...my-2013-a.html

    Could you read it, please? When/if you want and have time, of course!
    Thanx
