Dear Afsaneh, sepasgozaram; how should nr 9 be interpreted? does it mean she still loves him ? (if we assume it is a man who talks about a woman)
I was told that gladiolas are used in Iran in funerals but also in weddings. Is it correct? Does a field of gladiolas signifies the death of something? Is the love which passed the bridge heading to the gladiola field or away from the gladiola field? I was also told that "passing the bridge" is an idiomatic expression which has a negative meaning, like you have solved your problems and you don't care about others.

About nr 10: what is the two letter lost word? Somebody told me: "two letters lost... in Farsi love is the word عشق and when he says this he means a word which has been missed a letter and by that the عشق now has two letters." Does this make sense? I don't understand.

    Dear odyssevs,
Well I checked the song now and I realized it is like this:
eshghe gozashteh az pol : a love which has passed the bridge
dashte por az gelayol: a field full of gladiolas

does it mean she still loves him?
It’s not clear, the man is imploring for her return if she still loves him.

I was told that gladiolas are used in Iran in funerals but also in weddings. Is it correct?
It is usually used for funerals, in the past it was used for weddings too but not now.

Does a field of gladiolas signify the death of something?
I think it signifies their being apart and the death of the happiness they once owned together.

I was also told that "passing the bridge" is an idiomatic expression which has a negative meaning, like you have solved your problems and you don't care about others?
Yes maybe it refers to the woman’s love and her selfishness, but I’m not sure. Or a love that just went away.

what is the two letter lost word? Somebody told me: "two letters lost... in Farsi love is the word عشق and when he says this he means a word which has been missed a letter and by that the عشق now has two letters." Does this make sense? I don't understand.

I think yes. Actually it is so ambiguous for farsi speakers too. Eshgh عشق (love) has three letters but when it says
عشق پریشون شده ی دو حرفی (The chaotic love which has two letters) (not three letters as it normally should)
so what you were told is correct. i.e. this love is not a normal love, it misses something, it is incomplete without his beloved.

I was wondering if you could translate a few quotes for me. A few months back pinky_girl helped me along with translating a letter <3
Anyways if you could help with with the following:
"The people who are in your life will always gravitate back towards you no matter how far they wander"

"Have more than you show, speak less than you know"

"Let your smile change the world but don't let the world change your smile"

"How beautiful would it be to find someone who's in love with your mind"

"Some people aren't anti social they're just selective when it comes to who they associate with"

    I appreciate it so much!!
