Default Solved - Famous 60/70s Song

Hi, got this song stuck in my head, real famous song, main part goes something like:
Shout! ... come on everybody, Shout! come on everybody
The lyrics are completely wrong, but after "Shout" there's a pause, and it's the exact same amount of syllables as those words above. Think it's by white american guys, sounds sorta like The Monkees/The Kinks/The Zombies style.

It's not "Shout (You make me wanna)" btw.

Even if it doesn't totally match the description above, if something comes up, please let me know. Thanks!!!

OK let's start with The Who (also done by James Brown) :

Thanks for the suggestion, doesn't sound too far off, but not it. The single-syllable main lyrics might not even be "Shout", though whatever it is, it's likely it's the name of the song.
