This is hard... I always get really carried away. I went through my iPod and made a massive list, but I narrowed it down to spare you.

Top 10 most positive songs I recommend:

1. Beautiful Morning ~Ace of Base

(Japanese)

4. Don't Stop Movin' ~Livin' Joy

5. Life Is Sweet ~Natalie Merchant (I think the studio version is better, but all I could find was a live version)

6. The Journey Home ~Sarah Brightman

7. Я с тобой ~Юлия Савичева
("I'm With You" - Russian)
(I don't know why I can't find this on YouTube...)

8. It's Time ~Lebo M (from the Lion King album, Rhythm of the Pride Lands)
(English/Zulu)

9. Work That ~Mary J. Blige (I just found this fanmade video, and it cuts off the beginning of the song.)

10. Why Not ~Hilary Duff

There are too many worship songs I could add... unfortunately most of what I have can't be found online.

Another group I really recommend (my favorite) is Qkumba Zoo (QZoo on their second album). They have a lot of incredibly positive songs... Rain, The Child (Inside), Big, Mermaids, Happy Earthday, Time of Wonder, Beautifull, DNA, and even Butterfly People & Let the Light In have beautifully uplifting lyrics, even though the music is slow. You might have a hard time finding some of their songs though.

Wait, wait! I have a couple of really cheesy positive songs I have to post.

This is one of the most touching songs I've ever heard. Generally all of her songs have some kind of message that is positive and God has blessed her with a truly beautiful voice.

What a wonderful thread!

I believe positivity breeds positivity and likewise negativity breeds negativity. Yes we are naturally drawn to songs appropriate to our feelings at the time and that is not always a bad thing, but it can induce wallowing if for example your mood is already low. I know - I have learnt from experience!

I have spent many months trying to lift my own spirits and that of others around me going through hard times and as such I have compiled a wonderful list of positive songs but I'm always looking for more, so let's see if we can keep this thread going!

I currently have my list on another computer but I will come back later and give you a few of my favourites. In the meantime, the ones that spring to mind for me right now are:
