Re: Hip Hop
If you want some good hip hop, don't listen to the new stuff, it's utter crap.
Listen to these:
Sir Mix A Lot- Monster Mack (featured on 'The Beavis And Butthead Experience')
- Freakmomma (with Mudhoney, featured on the 'Judgement Night OST')
2 Live Crew
Public Enemy
Grandmaster Flash- White Lines (featuring Melle Mel)
- The Message (Featuring the Furious Five
Sugarhill Gang
Onyx- Slam (also get the Biohazard collabaration for added darkness)
Cypress Hill- How I Could Just Kill A Man
NWA
Ice Cube
Ice T
Warren G- Regulate (Featuring Nate DOGG)
RE: ROCK MUSIC
In my experience, anyone who thinks rock music is just yelling only chooses to hear rock music rather than
listen to it without knowing exactly what it's about. Rock is about expression and you really can't express yourself in a timid voice.
Plus a lot of rap/hip hop stars show false anger and emotion (ie: threatening people they've never met through the meidum of their videos) and they don't get called for it.
Anyway... Here's some expressive rock/crossover artists that should make you open your ears:
SENSER (rap/metal/punk crossover)
RAGE AGAINST THE MACHINE (rap/metal crossover - not like Limp Bizkit, much much better)
Black Stone Cherry
