If you mean reggaeton clubs definitely Miami and I am sure Puerto Rico. Don't go to Spain for reggaeton! I dont know if you saw it before but visit semanacaliente.com and check out the vids... that's how we do it in Miami !!!!

Tomorrow is my last day of school so I will come more often...

Default Just a general question...

This has been bugging me for awhile now. What does "galle", "gale", "un calle" mean? I don't know how to spell it or say it but I hear it a lot in reggaeton songs. What does this mean?

Also, I'm learning how to speak Spanish (I'm reading the books and all that). I'm trying to surprise a friend of mine who speaks it. I had no idea there's all this slang which I know he knows a lot of. Now I understand how hard it must be for a non-English speaker to learn English.

Hola a todos

Thanks to all the translators for the translating help! It's good stuff!

Anyways, a mi pregunta, qué significa 'Papi tírate ahora' del canción No Me Dejes Solo? No es literal, verdad? No significa 'Papi throw yourself now'?

Í think that it is " voy a machucar tu cama" It means that someone is going to sleep/have sex a lot and the bed is going to be so used. Or MAchucar means to hit something with strong force.

Tirate can be used in abstract forms to mean several things. For example, I often say "voy a tirarme para alla" to mean "voy a ir para alla". Its just a creative way of adding excitement to an otherwise boring phrase.

People say "Tirate" alone to incite people to do whatever thing comes to the case. If you want Arturo to step in the middle of a circle when people are dancing you can say to him "dale Arturo tirate". In the song you can imagine that she wants him to do whatever comes to your imagination because she just shouts it out of the blue with no context...

nice explanation eh ...
BTW tirate can be pronunced in 2 ways , according were are you from. Can be tIrate ( the "I" is accented ) or tirAte ( the "A" is accented ) . Im from Argentina so we use tirAte , but in mexico is tIrate !
