I'm new to this site, glad to have found it as I really would like the translation to the following lyrics please it has to be one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard.

these lyrics have soms strange phrases in them (or at least i don't know what they mean exactly) But i translated them the way i think it should, please feel free to correct me, i'm always eager to learn ;o)

The song is "Si no te hubieras ido" by Marco Antonio Solis.

It comes from the movie "Y tu mama tambien", a great, funny, sad,sexy and very political movie set in Mexico.

There is a mixture of song styles on the soundtrack, all great, but this one is dreamy.

No, the movie is in Spanish but with English Subtitles, it is easy to buy via Amazon.

If you like Diego Luna you will like this, he is in it a lot with his Mexican buddy. If you understand young males you will understand where they are coming from, I have a son who has just grown up out of the phase the guys are at in the movie, I thought it was hilarious, could see how it was all working with them, thinking they are super studs.

But, it is also a very political movie and you have to view it that way too, know a bit about Mexico and its current situation.

It is also very sad with an unexpected ending all round.

There is a radio interview with Alphonso Caron on the DVD to listen to which explains all about it, worth listening to.
