Zzzzzzzzzzzz Pls Someone Help Me Thanx Maria
Well, I thought this may be of some interest to people interested in this song's lyrics...
... he showed interest in Afro-Caribbean religious music with “Aguanile”, which is inspired in a traditional chant to invoke the blessing of Yemanya and the riddance of negative vibes by using water. In this song, there’s a mixture of a strong Afro-Antillanean religious feeling and Christianism as well as social issues.

What does “aguanile” mean?
Generally, the vocable “Aguanile” (originally written AGGUANILE) is used in the Yoruba chants in honour of the Orisha Eleggua... but AGGUAN means cleaning and ILE means house, property, plot of land, espace... call it as you wish... so that AGGUANILE would be “Cleaning of your home or cleaning of your earthly possessions...”

So, it's something to do with Santeria.
Anyone out there with expertise on this matter?
Kyrie eleison:
Kyrie Eleison (Greek for "Lord have mercy"; the Latin transliteration supposes a pronunciation as in Modern Greek) is a very old, even pre-Christian, expression used constantly in all Christian liturgies
from: CATHOLIC ENCYCLOPEDIA: Kyrie Eleison
uufff... it's starting to make sense slowly...
mmhhh... I'm afraid I'm stuck! I just can't find any of the other "funny" words anywhere!
Any ideas or suggestions anyone?...
Well, my dear Figbrat... I gave you my word, so I'll try to keep it.
This is my best educated guess at translating this song:
-------
Aguanile Aguanile*
Santo Dios, Santo Fuerte, Santo Inmortal
Holy God, powerful Saint, immortal Saint
Aguanile Aguanile Mai Mai
Aguanile Aguanile Mai Mai
Eh Aguanile Aguanile Aguanile Aguanile Mai Mai
Eh Kyrie Eleison, Christe Elaison, No Te Metas A Mi Mona
Lord, have mercy; Jesuschrist, have mercy; and don’t mess around with us**
Que Yo Tambien Me Se De'so
‘cause I also know about that sort of thing,
Oye Todo El Mundo Reza Que Reza
listen how everyone is praying all the time
Pa'que Se Acabe La Guerra
so that war will come to an end
Eso No Se Va a Acabar Eso Sera Una Rareza
but it won’t happen, it would be really strange
Ay Tambores Umaculli, Tambores Umaculla
There are drums over here, and drums over there,
Que Se Echen Todo Pa'lao
Everyone stand aside
Que La Tierra Va Ha Temblar
because the Earth is going to tremble
Que Abonbon Chele Abonbonchacha*
Yo Traigo Aguanile Pa' Rociar A Las Muchachas
I’ve got aguanile*** to sprinkle the girls
Ay Que Los tres Clavos De La Cruz
Oh, let the three nails in the Cross
Vayan Delante De Mi
go ahead of me
Que Le Hablen Y Le Responda
let’em talk to Him and He answer to them,
Ay Dios Tu ve
And my God, you can see
Al Que Me Critique A Mi
those who criticize me
Yo Tengo Aguanile Mai Mai
I’ve got aguanile mai mai
Un Judio Que A Caballo Gritaba Sin Compasion
A Jew riding a horse was shouting mercilessly:
Oh Jesus Crucificado, Muerto Por Una Traicion
“Oh Jesus has been crucified! He’s dead because he was betrayed!”
Eh Abongonchele Abongochacha
Aguanile Bendiceme A Las Muchachas
Aguanile bless the girls
Ay Aguanile Dame Agua
Hey Aguanile, give me some water
Estoy Seco Y Quiero Beber
I’m thirsty and need to drink

*I reckon that “aguanile”, “abonbonchele” and “abonbonchacha” are a chant.
In Mexico, people who believe in magic go sometimes to a sorcerer when they’re having a streak of bad luck. There, they undergo a so-called “limpia”, during which they’re rubbed with diverse objects while the sorcerer chants. I’d think that here it’s sort of the same thing, someone is chanting (according to my googling results, to Yemaya, the goddess of maternity) while freeing a person or a house from evil spirits and negative vibes.
**I’m not sure at all about the third part of the sentence; I just deduced it from the context.
***I’d think “aguanile” here means (holy) water.
If you need or want more background info on this, I’d recommend:
SANTERIA, LA REGLA LUCUMI, and LUKUMI

Still we may be lucky that someone more familiar with this sort of thing will give us a more accurate translation or idea about this song.
Have a nice time!
I do know from reading about Mr Lavoe he did go see a VOODOO WITCH to help him get off drugs so this does makes sense that he would write a song about his feelings of this.... [bold]Music....... A way to show our feelings[/b]
It's not reggaeton!!! It's a song that dates back to the early 70's! long before reggaeton came into being...
There are lots of websites with the lyrics for this song, and also a few sites with info on its meaning.
Maybe doing a bit of research before posting something here would be more helpful.
