Smile (*) Thalia "Amor a la Mexicana"

Could you please translate this excellent, magnificent song? Thank you.

    AMOR A LA MEXICANA

Compasión no quiero, lástima no quiero
quiero un amor duro que me pueda hacer vibrar
tu sabor yo quiero, tu sudor yo quiero
quiero tu locura que me haga delirar
    pura caña... puro amor...

Amor a la mexicana, de cumbia, huapango y son
caballo, bota y sombrero, tequila, tabaco y ron

Hehe... it sounds so odd in English, but I couldn't think of anything better to say "a la Mexicana" (à la Mexican sounds even odder to me!). Anyway, I hope you'll like it ...
    ---------------------------

    Amor a la Mexicana
    Mexican-style love

    I don’t want compassion, I don’t want pity
I want a hard love that can make me vibrate
I want your flavour, I want your sweat
I want you madness to make me go delirious
    pure (sugar)cane... pure love...

Mexican-style love, with cumbia, huapango and son (sorts of music)
horse, boot and sombrero, tequila, tobacco and rum,
Mexican-style love, hot and to the Sun’s rhythm
slowly and then he kills me, my macho at heart

    Mexican-style love...
    Mexican-style love...
    Mexican-style love...
    Mexican-style love...

I want it smooth, I want it very rough
I want it to touch the bottom of my heart
I want it slow, I always want more
I want it to scare me till I lose my mind
    pure (sugar)cane... pure love...

    Mexican-style love...
Oh, I want your love at the bottom of my heart
    Mexican-style love...
and within your madness I want to lose my mind
    Mexican-style love...
    I want it smooth, slow
    Mexican-love style
I’m dying of love and frenzy

i always couldn't understand this song's name cause if it is love to the mexican,it shouldn't have been la mexicana as it regards to a male, i thought may be it is love from a mexican but you again did your best.Your translation of it perfectly matches with the context.Normally a la means to the and sometimes from(a la carte-from cart) so it has more meanings

Yes, "a la + nationality" expresses a certain style or manner of doing something.
Have you ever heard of the dishes called "Arroz a la Mexicana" or "Huachinango a la Veracruzana"? I can give you the recipes if you want
and it's not used only for food... there's also for example a famous Italian film by Vittorio De Sica whose name in Spanish is "Matrimonio a la Italiana", do you know it?

mmhhh... sort of... it just expresses that idea of doing something in a certain manner; the only thing to remember is that you always use the female ending (ie "a" ), you know "a la Francesa , a la Turca , a la Colombiana , etc." Never ever use the male ending "o" for this sort of thing!

I’ll send you the recipes asap, do you want me to try and translate them for you?

    Have a nice evening!
