Thank you, very much cerb, I plan to use this song in a worship service.
thank you for using your skills and talents for the Lord's use.
God bless you....
Just you to know, "soldado de Dios" that these translation from "cerb" is literal, you won't be able to sing it. Plus... nobodu uses the word "sempiterno", especially in a contemporary song like this one. I have a good translation almost done. You can contact me at: tanmolina + @ + hotmail.com
I attempted to do an accurate translation, as asked, not a singable one. It's not true the nobody uses "sempiterno". "Everlasting" isn't a very popular word on daily usage either.
"Tanmolina": you better think twice before trying to disqualify my translations based on literality or popularity of word usage. If you are gonna advertise yourself do it on your own merits.
"Cerb", I think that maybe I didn't explain myself correctly when I said that comment about your translation. Please, understand that I wasn't trying to disqualify you, I was just telling "soldado de Dios" that the translation was literal, not made to be sung.
I am positive that "sempiterno" is definitely a word in disuse, if you ask people in the church, or on the street over here, I tell you that not even half of them are gonna know, and you don't find it in the most used versions of the Spanish Bible, you find "eterno" or "Dios del siglo (RVA) at most.
Anyways, I apologize again, I thought that you were giving him a singable translation.
God bless
