“She cries”
She heard his voice but didn’t believe
How could he just get up and leave?
Silence overtook the phone line
How could they part after all this time?
Love… will I ever feel what it really is?
Is it this pain? Is it these lies?
She cries….
A Photograph sits crumpled and torn on her shelf
She stands in the mirror and studies herself
Pictures of her past cloud her mind
Her emotions and her heart both begin to unwind
She cries….
A book lays open on the floor
She glances at it then at the door…
He stood there once before his body leaning on the wall
She turns back to the mirror and sees herself start to fall
Her skin is pale… the blade in her hand is cold as ice
She watches blood seep with the first slice
She cries….
She kneels down on the floor a blue bear in her arms
She holds it close, why does it hurt so bad?
She’ll never forget what she once had…
She shuts the book, picks up the bear
She set them both back down on the shelf
She picks up the picture and again in the mirror she studies herself…
She cries….
She was smiling and so was he…but that faded after those days
She remembered his love in everyway
The way he held her the way they’re bodies intertwined
How could it still hurt after all this time…
She looks down at the torn photograph deep inside her spirit cries
She cries….
