I find your indifference towards me does matter,

hmmm... not quite... he's talking about "the whole situation" where she pretends or is indifferent about, and he DOES matter, it's not the same for him if she does care or doesnt... spe. if she is indifferent or pretends to be indifferent

we could use your prhasing like this: "Your indifference does matter to me" that would be a little closer to the meaning of that particular verse
