    Hola

    Me encanta eso de los Reyes Magos Hasta donde yo recuerdo, en México siempre han tenido que co-habitar con Papa Noel (allá lo llamamos Santa Claus, como los americanos), aunque claro que de chiquilla eso me encantaba, pues si me portaba muy bien el 25 me traía algo Santa y luego el 6 los Reyes también me dejaban algún juguete

    Jajajajaja, me encanta eso de las habas en la rosca Nosotros nada más le ponemos muñeco, y al que le toque el muñequito dichoso tiene que hacer tamales (o comprarlos si es en la oficina) el 2 de febrero, ya que según esto es el bautismo del Niño

    Aquí le llamamos Papa Noel, es que somos muy afrancesados jajaja, también les copiamos las palabras ordenador, ascensor mientras vosotros utilizáis computadora y elevador, ya te digo si María Antonieta levantara la cabeza estaría orgullosa

    No puedo hablar sobre las tradiciones cubanas... solo la de mi familia cubana. Siempre tenemos una gran cena el dia del 24 de Diciembre.. Noche Buena. Comemos Puerco Asado, chicarron, yuca con mojito, arroz blanco con frijoles negros, algun tipo de ensalada, pan cubano, dulce de guayaba con quezo, muchos ricos turrones Espanoles, buñuelos, cascaradas de fruta... AY tengo hambre!

    En Cuba, no se oia de Santa Claus cuando yo era chica. Los regalos venian de los tres reyes magos el 6 de Enero. Teniamos que poner todos nuestros zapatos abajo de la cama porque los reyes dejaban sus regalos dentro de nuestros zapatos. Le dejabamos agua afuera para los camellos.

    Cada casa tenia un pequeño arbolito y un nacimiento... hasta la revolucion. Despues de eso, solo en las iglesias. El govierno de Castro puso un limite al numero de juguetes que se podian comprar (no mas que tres). Me acuerdo que mi mama se paraba en linea por varios dias en frente de los mercados para asegurarse que iban a ver regalos de los magos. Los comunistas arruinaron el espiritu de navidad por muchs años con sus menazas y reglas.

    No descubri a Santa Claus hasta que llegue a los Estados Unidos.

    Pues, nuestras navidades son mas o menos asi:

    el 24 en mi familia no se reunen, ya que la mayoria de mis hermanos y yo, nos vamos con los suegros (en mi caso con mi suegra), hahaha, asi que la reunion familiar la hacemos hasta el 25 al recalentado familiar y abrir los regalos y darnos el abrazo...

    El 24 en casa de mi suegra se reune la familia de mi marido, y pasamos ratos de juegos, compartiendo fotos, y este año decidimos cantar villancicos por familia.. hahaha espero que nos salga bien eso de la cantada....Y pues en nuestra mesa siempre estan presentes los tamales, pavo, menudo, pozole, champurrado, atole, postres y mas postres

    El 25 muy temprano, nos subimos al auto, y nos vamos directamente a a mi ciudad natal, a pasar el fin semana, ahora con mi familia, y pues bueno se repite la historia, a seguir comiendo de los antojitos navideños y llevarle los regalitos a mis papis y sobrinos mas peques, que para todos no alcanza hahaha.. lo malo de tener familias grandes por los lados no?

    Hey Bebe... thanks for trying to wake us up. I think the forum is in a funk. Parece que si estamos poco dormidos... no se porque. Yo se que aqui donde yo vivo hay un frio tremendo y no me da ganas de hacer nada. Que vagancia!

    I really don't want to get into Haiti...it's amazing how things like this can happen...Massive Natural Casualties....absolutely devastating!

    Economy is only going to get worse....then slowly but surely it will get better....so we'll see.

    Hola Bebe. Si, estoy en Facebook. Me gusta estar en contacto con mis hermanas. Mi papa, ya anciano, tambien esta en Facebook. Yo creo que ATL es como una onda.... viene y va, sabes?

    Estoy esperando una tormenta de nieve.... si.. en Arizona. Se supone que vamos a tener 5, una atras de la otra. Aqui estoy con mi colcha, mi chocolate caliente, mi televisor y computadora, ... o si, y mi esposo. No necesito nada mas. Hoy no hay trabajo por la celebracion de Martin Luther King. Que nieve!

    hey all .... i guess this is the first time i stop by in this chit-chat
    I couldn't think of a more appropriate thread than this, to ask some help from my spanish amigos

    Dunno if anyone of you know.. there is a movie " The seventh scroll" .. it's a great movie made by Wilbur Smith. And i was wondering if anyone of you know, or could make a lil research , of this movie can be found with a Spanish dub ? any lil help is appreciated

    Wow Xiurell!! I'm very impressed, as I searched and searched but couldn't find it at all well, ok, it must be coz I was looking under "El Séptimo papiro" so I just found the book It's just a shame there's no "thanks" button in this thread

    Heya ! Is this the same as the movie ?
    I was/am looking for the movie, not the series... I will have to research if it's the same, but i doubt it ...

    And YES i saw it, i even have some parts uploaded on youtube, u can search them.. ( but i uploaded only the parts related the past events ) the movie behold past and present action !

    Oh .. I've given you the wrong link , but the spanish name of the movie (no the serie) is "El séptimo papiro"... Now I can't find the link of the movie

    The movie is based on the book written by that guy, and the name of the book in Spanish is "El séptimo papiro", and I have found forums or blogs where the people talk about both, saying that the movie isn't like the book (the book is much better, as always).... In short, the movie has the same name as the book, and the Spanish transtalion of its tittle is El sépitmo papiro... Now I want to watch the movie!!!
