I can’t believe that it’s taken over 50 pages to come to the simple conclusion of the language being used in this song. This is an argument that should have been settled by page 2. I am a native Spanish speaker, and I have learned French, and Latin. I also have done years worth of etymological (origin of words) work on Latin <--> Spanish words. And I can say without a shred of doubt that this song is not Spanish, or French, or even Latin. It god-honestly IS ROMANIAN, derived from Latin. AND I HAVE A DAMN COLLEGE DEGREE IN THE STUDY OF FOREIGN LANGUAGES TO GIVE MORE CREADENCE TO MY CLAIM!
The original song title was "DRAGOSTEA DIN TEI" by Haiducii OR "Love from the linden trees" by The Outlaws. One of the main giveaways that this song is ROMANIAN is that in the first line of the song it says, "Alo Salut . . . haiduc" meaning "outlaw (singular)." Italian, Sardinian, and Romanian all evolved the same way when it came to pluralizing their nouns… by changing the final vowels of the noun, usually an "i". French, Spanish, and Portuguese evolved a different way… by adding "s" at the end of the noun. SOOOOOO….. Obviously since the originating group was called "Haiducii" meaning "The Outlaws (plural form)" and the last word in the first line is "haiduc" meaning "outlaw (singular)" we easily deduce that the lyrics are Italian, Sardinian, or Romanian! I personally go for Romanian seeing that Italian and Sardinian are actually 99% Latin, and these words are no where near resembling the Latin vocabulary

And additionally, about 4%, or 250,000, of Israel’s population speaks Romanian, so there is some credibility to the rumor that it may be OF JEWISH ORIGIN, but the lyrics of O-zone’s song are undoubtedly Romanian. Mulţumesc, Pa.

The laugages of the song are realated as i was lstening to it again could hear fench and farci in it as well as others i did a search on google and i brung up the words as being of more than on luageage that is why so many of the group such romanian adn german, french, hebrew, and many others can translate the laugages..
