Well I wouldn't mind I guess. In fact, I'd be honoured!
Here are a mix of my favourite Turkish
ballad entries:
İzel - Git Burdan - Now this an extremely emotional song that's accompanied by wonderful sounds of musical instruments helping the song to give a powerful chilling effect on the listeners. It's one of my all time favourites.
Asuman Krause - Çok Yalnızım - This isn't the official preview clip to the song; however that doesn't really matter if you're into MUSIC ITS SELF. I'm just fascinated by the way this song starts off very slowly and then builds its way dramatically with the lyrics. This is not even mentioning the wonderful voice Asuman has.
Alex - Aşk Senin Adın - An excellent Agean ballad that has an excellent touching melody. Alex is amongst the few Turkish male singers whom I appericiate and adore for his voice alone.
Betül Demir - Günahımı Alma - Most know Betül Demir for her club hits and dance tracks; however, this song offers something which totally challenges the image most people have of Betül. It's an excellently sung ballad that's done in an old-fashioned style. It's a real delight for those who are looking for something warming and cozy as this ballad.
Bengü - Korkumdan Ağladım - I was a bit hesitant into posting this but decided to anyways. This song is actually a cover of Anna Vissi's song; however, there was just so much about it that made me dearly love it. I mean, Bengü does a wonderful job to 'Turkify' this song in an eastern style that makes it much more appealing then the original Greek version. It's catchy yet would still in my opinion be considered as a memorable ballad.
Tuğba Önal - Neden - Tuğba has a voice to die for. It's very chilling, powerful and works out excellent in a emotional pleading ballad as this.
I have soooooooooooooo much more to recommend and list; however, If I were to do that. I would be on here 24/7. Anyways, I'll try to post the links to some more of my favourites along with a brief description of what I think of the songs as well. I hope that you'll like my selections Aksios.
