    Bir yanmış konakta
    in a burnt halting place
Bir kadın var orada hala soylu, hala sır
there is a woman ,still noble, still secret
    Teninde baharlar
    springs in her skin
Sevdası kapkara hala aynı yanar, kor
her love is pitch black, still burning, ember

    Efsane kadın kimdi aşkın
myth woman ,who was ur lover?
    Sordular sustun hiç anlatmadın
they asked,u were quiet,u've never told
    Efsane kadın kimdi aşkın
    myth woman,who was your lover?
    Sordular ama hiç anlatmadın
they asked,u were quiet,u've never told

    Zamansız yıllarda
    in untimely years
    İsmini yazmıştı sanki gül dudağına
as if he/she wrote ur name to his/her rose lips
    Sönse de yangınlar
even though the fire is put out
Yangını körükler uçan avuç avuç kül
the ash which flies handfully blows the fire

    Bir yanmış konakta...
    in a burnt halting place..

Makber - Sertab Erener ((place of burial) grave)

    Her yer karanlık
    everywhere is dark
    Pür nur o mevki
    full of heavenly light there
    Mağrip mi yoksa
    is it moorish or
    Makber mi yarab?
    grave, my god?
    Mağrip mi yoksa
    is it moorish or
    Makber mi yarab?
    grave, my god?
    Kabrin çiçekten Bir türbe olmuş
your tomb is a mausoleum out of flowers
    Dönmüş o türbe bir hacleğaha
that mausoleum had turned to... i dunno what does hacleğah means(???)
    Mağrip mi yoksa
    Makber mi yarab?

haclegah means "bride-chamber". The lyrics of this song belongs to an important poet in Turkish literature; Abdülhak Hamit Tarhan. He had written this poem for his dead wife. there are some arabic and persian words in it because he had lived in nineteenth century.
