Default Shakira Spanish-English-Turkish!!!

Hi!! this is a song that Shakira originally sang in Spanish. In english it's called "Whenever, Wherever", but the real name of the song in spanish is "Luck." I translated the original spanish lyrics to english, and now I need them in Turkish... thanks!!!

Luck

It's because of luck you were born
and that we laugh at the distance between us.
It's because of luck I met you
and that I love strange lands for you.

I can cross the mountains only
To count every mole in your body.
With you I celebrate everything,
My joys and my sorrows...

You know that I'm lying at your feet!!

With you, my life!!
I want to spend my life,
and all that is left of it
at your side.

It's because of luck that my lips are honest
to kiss you more eagerly.
It's because of luck I have a small chest
and that you don't mistake them for mountains.

It's because of luck I inherited strong legs
to run whenever I need to
and also for having a pair of eyes
to cry when you are not at my side.

You know that I'm lying at your feet!!
Happiness has your name and your skin!

You know, my life, I am up to my neck for you!
If you feel this way,
I wanto you to stay with me forever.

Thanks!!!!

Luck
Şans

It's because of luck you were born
Dünyaya gelmen (doğman) şans sayesinde oldu
and that we laugh at the distance between us.
ve bizim aramızdaki mesafeye gülmemiz
It's because of luck I met you
sana rastlamam şans sayesinde oldu
and that I love strange lands for you.
ve senin için tuhaf diyarları sevmem

I can cross the mountains only
dağları aşabilirim; sadece
To count every mole in your body.
vücudundaki benleri sayabilmek için
With you I celebrate everything,
seninle her şeyi kutlarım
My joys and my sorrows...
sevinçlerimi ve kederlerimi...

You know that I'm lying at your feet!!
Ayaklarında yattığımı biliyorsun

With you, my life!!
seninle ,hayatım!
I want to spend my life,
hayatımı geçirmek istiyorum;
and all that is left of it
ve onun (hayatımın) geri kalanı
at your side.
senin yanında

It's because of luck that my lips are honest
dudaklarımın dürüst olması şans sayesinde
to kiss you more eagerly.
seni daha istekli öpmek için
It's because of luck I have a small chest
küçük bir göğsümün olması şans sayesinde
and that you don't mistake them for mountains.
ve senin onları dağlarla karıştırmaman.

It's because of luck I inherited strong legs
Güçlü bacakların varisi olmam şans sayesinde
to run whenever I need to
ne zaman ihtiyacım olursa koşmak için
and also for having a pair of eyes
ve bir çift gözümün olması da (şans sayesinde)
to cry when you are not at my side.
yanımda olmadığında ağlamak için

You know that I'm lying at your feet!!
ayaklarında yattığımı biliyorsun
Happiness has your name and your skin!
mutluluk, senin adın ve tenin!

You know, my life, I am up to my neck for you!
Biliyorsun, hayatım/canım, senin için boynumun peşindeyim (senin için boynumu bile vermeye hazırım*)
If you feel this way,
eğer böyle hissediyorsan,
I want you to stay with me forever.
sonsuza kadar benimle kalmanı istiyorum.

*The translation in the paranthesis is better, so please use it, not the first one. I wrote the first one because of turkish learners, it's a literal translation.

Hi Seda! Me and my "hard" questions What's the difference between both translations? I know the first is literal translation as u said, but the second one can be for matching to the poem better?
As i could read by the translation (very well done by you as always ), i realized how difficult is turkish... i still don't understand the word order in sentences, this aspect is driving me crazy...

I'am still wondering what is the difference in pronunciation in Turkish between the letters 'c' and 'j.'

Besides which, how can one have/acquire? a keyboard that is in Turkish and still have w's on it? Perhaps some day some enterprizing technican can develop one that can facilitate five or six languages on one board. That would be fantastic!!!

C, c pronounced like English `j' as in `jet' and Jimmy

J, j like French `j', English `zh', or the 'z' in 'azure'

Merhaba lesenna! nice to see you again here, welcome! I'll tell the difference between them now:
The first one, I mean, the literal one is "senin için boynumun peşindeyim" and its translation is like this: "I scramble for/aim at my neck for you " and it means I can give my neck for you, so, I die for you. and "senin için boynumu vermeye hazırım", which is my free translation has the same meaning; it means "I'm ready for giving my neck for you", so "I die for you". you're right, turkish is a difficult language (not as much as greek, but difficult) but you can manage to get over the difficulties, I'm sure

Thanks very much, 'Milena.' I've gotten a textbook on the Turkish language but it's going to be a while for me to know much about the lyrics I hear, memorizing words and all. Your explanation was the best I've heard on 'j.'

Hope it wasn't too off the thread subject matter.
