Thumbs up Barış Manço - Dağlar Dağlar

Hey folks, could one of you kindly translate this song for me. A free translations as opposed to a literal translation is more than welcome.

Dağlar Dağlar /

Ellerimle büyüttüğüm /
Solar iken dirilttiğim /
Çiçeğimi kopardın sen /
Ellere verdin /

Dağlar dağlar, /
Kurban olam yol ver geçem /
Sevdiğimi son bir olsun /
Yakından görem /

Kuşlar ötmez güller soldu /
Yüce dağlar duman oldu /
Belli ki gittiğin yerden /
Kara haber var /

Thank you

Dağlar Dağlar /mountains, mountains

Ellerimle büyüttüğüm / i grew it with my hands
Solar iken dirilttiğim / when it was fading ,i made it aive
Çiçeğimi kopardın sen / u picked my flower off
Ellere verdin / u gave it to the others

Dağlar dağlar, /mountains mountains
Kurban olam yol ver geçem /
Sevdiğimi son bir olsun Yakından görem / let me see my love closer last time

Kuşlar ötmez güller soldu / the birds dont sing, the roses faded
Yüce dağlar duman oldu / the big mountains became smoke
Belli ki gittiğin yerden Kara haber var / its obvious that there is a bad news from where u're gone to

Great song, my favourite song of Barış Manço.He is simply one of the best Turkish musicians ever.

BTW original (old) version of this song is the best.

Thank you Alper for the translation.

@ Milena, I agree the song is simply amazing. I was actually told about Barış Manço during my holiday in Turkey with a new friend I made there. Apparently, he's one of Turkey's most beloved musicians. I was told about how when he passed away, the whole nation was in mourning and that his funeral was a really sad event for the entire nation. So when I came back, I ended up trying to listen and download as much songs of his as possible and this one interested me the most.

BTW, Alper you forgot to translate 1 line from the song. So I hope that you or someone else could kindly translate it:

Kurban olam yol ver geçem /

Kurban olam yol ver geçem / I beg you, let me pass

He is actually more than a musician. His lyrics are so powerful, gives lots of social messages. He has English and French songs as well.He was also a real traveler. He made travel programmes for long years.

I am a diehard fan of him.His songs will never become old.

It seems that his contribution to Music and other aspect of life were virtually endless. It's not wonder that you along with my friend liked him a lot and adored a lot of his work. It's actually quite odd that I've never ran or heard about him until recently. Nonetheless, I'm glad that I was "introduced" to him as he certianly seemed to have left a lasting Legacy for Turks from all walks of life.

@ Alper, no need to apologize. Thanks for your help once again.
