I mean, honestly.. what the hell is Tarkan thinking, writing all his lyrics himself? The man is a joy to watch, but who gave him the idea that he can write? owwww.... the pretty face is NOT a talented writer, I think he'd better get a nice gift and a box of chocolates, go to Sezen Aksu's house and say 'sorry' and beg that she starts writing for him again!!!

really tarkan was the first turkish singer i liked n then i liked to listen turkish music n i waited for this album sooo long but i didn't like it soo much:S :S
i thought he would make something better n hop hop song is the most song i liked but i don't know i feel it's not as his songs i don't know why
n also i wondered why he always need to repeat his words i thought this in turkish language :S but as i see it isn't

it's The evil eye bead. It gives protection and brings luck to all.
With its warm blue, the shine it has derived from the fire and the smiling face that's a typical feature of the Anatolian people, it gives happiness to the friends and the beloved ones
i really like tarkan n wish best for him espically he let me adore turkish music n culture n i think many ppl begin listen to turkish music when they listen to tarkan so i wish him good luck in his work n come back as we knew him n loved him

the media was going on and on about tarkan's new cd, and in many instances tarkan himself said that it would be the album that most reflects him, maybe they made the upcoming cd too big of a deal that everyone got so caught up in how it would be so amazing. i respect him though because its obvious he wrote about what he felt and tried to share it with his fans instead of getting the usual popular turkish songwritters to supply lyrics for him, kind of like he had to release his feelings himself i guess... anyways i think its a good cd overall i think everyone definately saw a different side of him

That is because previously Tarkan used to work with the best music composers are lyricists like Sezen Aksu, and Nazan Oncel but in this album he wrote his songs himself (or he HAD TO write them himself because he upset Sezen and she no more writes for him haha ) and as a result the songs are rubbish.. musicalwise they are almost a copy of his previous songs and the lyrics are hopeless....

Tarkan doesnt need to have good songs anyway, his fans love the way he moves, the way he sighs when he talks, the way he stares into the camera, and how he smiles.. whatever the song he sings.. the moment he starts sighing and biting his lips when he is singing, his loving fans will go mad for him.. for that I give him credit

l like tarkan..he really has wonderful songs and he recognizes Turkey better than anyone..everybody waits perfect songs from him..now such songs dont satisfy anybody..
and btw we are using ''hop hop,kuzu kuzu vs.. i mean we use repetation very much..becos repetation is used as a adverb in turkish..
for ex: yavaş yavaş geldi(he came slowly)
but the point what l dont understand is why he always uses this way while writing songs

because of the new style i back to listen to the cd & after all i was wrong
coz although the cd is defferent but it`s full of great meanings
ok the music is not as he make us used to but the point is in the great words that tarkan wrote he is the best whatever we say he deserve to be the one & the only ooof i love this man .
soo the cd is great yes and the repetation of the words he always used is important coz that`s explain his great style .. like he is saying am still tarkan

I have been following this thread because 1) I am a DESPERATE Tarkan fan, 2)I also want the translations to his new album, and 3) Hop Hop was INSTANTLY my favorite song there. Now I fully respect everyone's different opinions, and I don't say this because I am his fan but I think Tarkan is trying desperately to break free from the mold he has been placed in. Everyone expects everything from him, they exepct him to behave, to write perfect songs (all ten of them) that everyone will like... But we have all become so accustomed to his previous sound , we are not giving this new stuff a chance. we are criticizing based on his previous material. I have to admit it takes courage to start off on your own after you have been using someone else's lyrics. One example that he IS a good writer is Sibel Can's Çakmak Çakmak. It's a fabulous song, and he wrote both music and lyrics. We have to give the guy a break, I think, because he is trying to project exactly who he is for the first time in ages. I like to think that maybe this is like learning to eat kaviar. The first time you try it, it's bitter and salty, but the more you try it, the more you learn to love it. Maybe that's what this album can do for people. And honestly, I don0't think the lyrics are THAT rubbishy. Again, i don't say this as a fan, I am trying to be objective. And again, ths is only MY point of view. All the same, thanks for the translation!! i'm sure we'll be seeing a LOT of these in the near future, especially since it's a new album

but still, you can still write the lyrics you want with a nice beat, and nice music with it. Like the music of dudu, the turkish music sound is a bit gone i think.
