Do you think it could be something to do with the 'fights' between turkish people and kurdish people? I think it has something to do with that..

the sentence can be used by anyone or any group of dissidents against any established order which they disfavor; so no group can claim the exclusive ownership of it.

for example, anatolian football teams and their supporters may speak out the same sentence against the football federation with the accusation that it always decides in favor of the istanbul teams.
