Interesting discussion you have going on here guys , but btw most of the Arabic songs you mentioned cite the original Turkish composers. Pascale and Amal's videos also cite the original composers (Kutsi for Akhed Aqli and Bendeniz for Zaman). However Nour El Shams and Ya Ghayeb are Greek, not Turkish songs. They were remade by Arabs and Turks. Here's some proof for Diana, Nelly, and Rayan.

Diana Karazon, look at tracks 2 and 6:

Rayan (tracks 2, 4, and 7):

Nelly (track 1):

Check this topic out for more info on what songs were stolen or legally remade: http://forum.eftekasat.net//index.php?showtopic=244378

Hey people, really interesting discussion
I'm not surprised by this music stealing people, it happens, although I didn't know it happened that much here in the middle east...
I heard about a video clip for Asala, but it's the first time I hear about Rayan!
so don't be too harsh on the Arabs (I'm one, can't say that I'm not proud to be an Arab) you know Arabs make mistakes because everyone does, and it's not just them who steal, and of course there are people like that but there are also decent people who make great music in the Arab world.

I've been to Turkey and I've fell in love with it and its people, they're so kind! And that's how I fell in love with Turkish songs! They ROCK!

Most of the songs are paid for and not stolen though, including the sogns they mentioned. You should take a look at the songs Jay-Z, Missy Elliott, Nelly Furtado, Aaliyah, etc. actually stole from Arab, Turkish, and Indian singers.

And yeah sohuda, Turkish music is great and I listen to lots of it, but I listen to more Arabic. And I'm definitely proud of being Arab too .

I really hate the turkish version maybe because i know its stolen
if they publish the cpmposer this doesnt mean they stole it. that means its just adapted. and in turkey everybody knows it was an arabic song originally.

^ Exactly what I have been saying too, you're right. Unlike before, the internet has opened people to all kinds of music. Both musicians and listeners are not stupid and they will know if their music has been stolen. That's why 90% of the Arabic, Greek, and Turkish songs that you think are stolen are actually paid for or cited then remade today.
